Be a good listener first, then a marketer
We practiced ethnography observation in Europe. We talked with people about their consumption habits. We visited international and local advertising and media agencies. We wrote journals every day.
We thought about marketing in their shoes. We immersed ourselves in London, Manchester and Prague to enjoy local culture and feel its charm.

Observation in ethnography marketing is not the hardest part. How to interpret consumers’ behaviors with local lens is. Ethnographers are not only required to know a lot about the products or brands but also everything related to the cultures, economy and politics of certain markets.

The best way is to be a listener. Only when ethnographers are able to immerse themselves into this culture, they are able to understand local people’s insights and approach the target market via the best way.
